She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Hommema; her parents, Baldwin Vermeulen and Frieda Vermeulen; and her brothers, Ken, Ron and Bob Vermeulen.
She is survived by: her children, James, Theresa Hommema, Janice, Gene Peterson, Joyce and Kurt Koster; her grandsons, Alex Hommema and Bradley Jensen; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Charlie Jensen. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Mount Vernon Memorial (11875 S Archer Ave, Bedford Park, IL 60501).
