It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Simpson (Homewood, Illinois), born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommie Lee and Anna Arnada Gordon. She is survived by: her siblings, Pronty Lee Gordon, Dorothy Bradley (Dot) and John Gordon (Sonny Boy); her aunts, Tenn, Nashville and Detroit; her former husband Theodore Banks (Ted); her husband Clarence R. Simpson; her children, Duane Banks (Rose), Claudia Banks and Marjorie Fugh; her grandchildren, George Fugh and Brea Wimbley (Keenan); her children, Teresa Banks and Asia Banks; her great grandchildren, Davis, Zora and Keenan; and her siblings, Harry Gordon and Ann Bailey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
