She is survived by: her husband Jay Carey of Washington, Iowa; her children, Tricia Kroll (Brad) of Washington, Iowa, Richard "Rocky" Carey (Alissa) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Jay Paul "JP" Carey (Erin) of Shaumburg, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Lucas, Caitlin, Vivienne Kroll, Preston, Conor Carey, Brooks and Griffin Carey.
She worked as a Receptionist at a Psychiatrists Office in Tinley Park, Illinois, until Covid restricitions forced her early retirement.
