He was predeceased by: his wife Shirlene Knoll; his son John Michael Knoll; and his brothers, J. Theodore and Phillip. He is survived by: his children, Alfred P. Knoll, Daniel J. Knoll (Laurie), Maria Benner (Jeff) and Joseph Knoll; his grandchildren, Sarita (AJ), Anna (Ross), Michael, Grace, David, Samantha Grace, Jennifer and John'Jack'; his great grandchildren, Joe, Sam, Eddie, Nolan, Evie, Noah and Caleb; and his brother Gregory Knoll (Cyndie).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home (18230 Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL 60430). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Anne Church (16820 Dixie Hwy, Hazel Crest, IL 60429). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (19500 S Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, IL 60430).
