It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Schafer of Homer, Illinois, born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Robert and Joyce; her parents, Jacob Hagene and Mary Hagene (Mangin); her husband Homer J. Schafer; and her siblings, Francis, Clarence, Louis, Jacob, Lawrence, Raymond, Carl, Catherine Hagler, Marcella Hagene and Mary Ann Matychowiak.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Heisner of Pinckneyville, IL and Jean Millikin (Steve) of Okawville, IL; and her grandchildren, David Raines (Elisa), Jeana Raines, Juli Williams (TJ), Bettina Cox, Katie McDaniel and Jayne Ballantyne (Kris Pendl). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
