He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his parents, Lawrence Caruso and Catherine Caruso; and his brothers, Andy Caruso (Violet) and Leroy Caruso (late Christine).
He is survived by: his children, Larry Caruso (Joanne), Jerome Caruso (Jan) and Denise Duda (Anthony); his grandchildren, Laura Gordon (Chris), Michael Caruso (Brigitte), Monique Caruso, Jerry Caruso, Nicholas Duda and Catherine Duda; and his great grandchildren, Sarah Gordon, Tyler Gordon, Luca Caruso and Nico Caruso.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Sam's name to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care, Joliet, Illinois.
