Louis James Schaub Obituary

Louis “Lou” Schaub, age 64. Life led him to many places through the years, but he always called Downers Grove, Illinois home. Beloved husband of Nancy. Son of the late Louis and Margaret. Fond brother of Mary, Jim, Margie, Therese, Mary Anne, John, and their spouses and children. Dearly loved brother-in-law to Richard, Gary and Debbie Matas, and niece Kimmy.

Lou was a gentle soul who was warm-hearted. He shared an enduring love with his wife, Nancy. He cherished his family and his longtime friends. He was content with the simple pleasures in life. Lou enjoyed listening to all types of music and strumming his guitar. A special day for Lou was a day spent on the golf course with his buddies.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lightways Hospice (https://lightways.org) in memory of Lou.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
