He was predeceased by: his grandson Caden; his brother Jack Novak; and his sister-in-law Rita Tinken. He is survived by: his children, Jen McCann (John) and Carrie Arneson (Doug); his grandchildren, Connor, Aubrey and Skyler; and his siblings-in-law, Gary and Mary Ann Lesch.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491).
