He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Charapata and Elsie H. Charapata; and his siblings, David Charapata and Lillian Charapata. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Charapata; his children, Stacey Weller (Jimmy) and Matthew Charapata (Lisa); his grandchildren, Maeve, Connor, Jordan and Quinn; his siblings, Kathleen Studnicka (late John), Jesse Charapata, Beverly Gaines, Kay Oldham (James), Robert Charapata (Patricia), Nancy Tannahill (John) and Kenneth Charapata (Jennifer); and his siblings-in-law, Terrie Gustafson (Keith) and Wayne Piper (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fairmount Willow Hills Cemetery (9100 Archer Ave, Willow Springs, IL 60480).
