Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edith Maxine Smith of Homer Glen, Illinois, born in Nebo, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 80, on August 13, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Norton and Eva Norton (Galloway); and her brother William Norton. She is survived by: her husband Don Smith; her children, Don Smith (Katie) and Jennifer Smith; her grandchildren, Charlotte and Hayden Smith; and her sisters, Patricia Joslin (Richard) and Anna Brierton (Max). She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other cherished family members.
Inurnment will be held at Green Pond Cemetery, Pearl, IL., at a later date. *Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing practices are required inside the funeral home and a capacity of 50 guests will be allowed in at a time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First United Methodist Church, Lockport in Maxine's name would be appreciated.
