It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John A. McCoy (Hoffman, Illinois), who passed away on May 1, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McCoy and Elizabeth McCoy; his brother Charles McCoy; and his siblings-in-law, William Boehne, Herbert Grote and Elinor Boehne.
He is survived by: his wife Olga M. Boehne; his children, Lola Zimmermann (Bob) of Hoffman, Rodney Mattmiller (Joan) of Hastings and Kendra Phoenix (King) of Centralia; his grandchildren, Tristan Zimmermann (Ashley), Crystal Fancher (Isaac), Logan Zimmermann (Taylor Ratermann), Austin Mattmiller, Lauren Mattmiller, Travis Burleyson (Nikki), Brandon Burleyson (Staci), Matt Phoenix (Jennifer) and T. J. Phoenix; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Kendall, Kynleigh, Aiden, Grayson, Andrew, Keagan, Bryar, Lane, Parker and Kaylin; his sister Jane Lueking (Ron) of Richview; and his sister-in-law Lorna Grote of Hoyleton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
