He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bassen and Edna Bassen (Sheverbush); his siblings, Clyde Bassen, Harold Bassen, Wilma Terry (Hugh) and Doris Atchison (Less); and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Bassen.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Larson (Art) of Portage, MI and Steve Bassen (Denise) of Clemmons, NC; his grandchildren, Matt Larson (Laura) of Pikeville, KY, Rachel Joanknecht (Dwaine) of Highfields and Marc Larson (Britt) of Portage, MI; his pet Cha Cha; his great grandchildren, Chase, Keenan, Micah, Dylan, Asher, Zachary and Isaac; and his siblings, Ray Bassen of Hoffman, IL, Roy Bassen (Jean) of Hoffman, IL and Carol Stein (Stanley) of Hoffman, IL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
