She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Vann; her siblings, Alvin Richard Carter, Eugenia Carter, Iris Carter, Horace Carter, Howard Carter, Jane Carter, Lamont Carter, Lavonia Carter, Michael Carter, Roy Carter and William Carter; and her nephew Chester Holland Jr..
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Mary Pat Brygger (Jann Jackson), Meg Carter Patterson (Richard), Teri Carter, William Carter Jr. and Glenn Carter.
