It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Purpura of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Craig Purpura; his parents, Joseph Purpura and Amanda Purpura; and his siblings, Joseph Purpura, Frederick Purpura and Margaret Schull.

He is survived by: his children, Gail Mroz, Lynn Nyenhuis, Nancy Kerr, Donna Purpura and Keith Purpura; his grandchildren, Heather Bialas, Jenifer Dehlin, Derek Nyenhuis, Deana Nyenhuis, Shana Doering, Laurel Nyenhuis, Daniella Kerr and Elizabeth Kerr; his great grandchildren, Sam, Stella Dehlin, Evelyn, Luke and Eli Doering; and his brother Ross Purpura.
