He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garvey and Winifred Garvey (Mahoney); his sister Patricia Kalata (Garvey); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Dempsey and Patrick Dempsey.
He is survived by: his children, Megan (Steve Carney), Katie (Mitch Marcus), Jimmy, Michael (Mary Quirarte), Eileen Landau (Ross) and Sheila; his grandchildren, Declan, Brendan Carney, Ella Garvey, Shea and Eloise Landau; and his parents-in-law, Bill Kalata and Sheila Causgrove (David). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
