He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Longmeyer (Wood) and Joseph Longmeyer; and his siblings, Jospeh, John, Margaret and Mary Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Longmeyer-Wood (Christian Wood) of McLean, VA, Brian (Lauren) of Hoffman Estates, IL and Jeffrey of Lake; and his grandchildren, Grace, Jason, Ella, Audrey, Calvin and Lilly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Folds of Honor or the Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation. Keep George's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
