It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Mary Ertle of Hinsdale, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Gleason and Mary Gleason; and her brothers, Stephen Gleason and Jim Gleason. She is survived by: her husband Dr. James O. Ertle; her children, James O. Ertle, Jr. and Elise Ann Quealy (Brendan Quealy); her siblings, Dennis Gleason (Annie) and Mary Andrews (Bruce Andews); and her grandchildren, Ben Ertle, Brendan Quealy, Tess Quealy, Amanda Quealy and James Quealy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Virginia volunteered her legal services to the non profit Great Lakes Dermatological Society without any financial gain.
