He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McGivern and Mary Taylor McGivern; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Schultz (James), Susan Sharp (Wesley) and Steven Heiser (Dana).
He is survived by: his wife Janet Heiser McGivern; his children, Julie Maddox (Robert), Matthew T. McGivern and Jennifer Winters (Scott); his grandchildren, Elena Maddox, Malin, Matthew, Emilia McGivern, Ashley, Kaili, Scott, Zack, Samantha and Drake Winters; his stepmother Mary Clifford McGivern; and his siblings, Mollie Carroll (John), Arthur McGivern (Anne), Jane Levine (Lester) and Kathryn Dorn (John).
