He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Eugene Fagan Traut and Wilma Wiseman Traut; his daughter Victoria Anne Traut; his wife Charron Follett Traut of River Forest; and his siblings, Valerie Lyon (Edward) and David Traut (Rosemary).
He is survived by: his children, Christopher D. Traut (Lee) and Sabrina T. Usher (Patrick); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Catherine Traut, Alexandra, Samantha, James and Christopher Usher; and his sisters, Julianna Hummel (Bob), Mary Sullivan (Gene), Sarah McConnell (David) and Martha Onkka (Tim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
