As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his father John J. Popp Sr.; and his close friend Ryan Michels. He is survived by: his mother Loreen Popp Sr. (Yoakum) of Hinckley, IL; and his siblings, Kari Harrison (Gary) of Sandwich, IL, Joe Popp (Suzanne) of Naples, FL, Jeorge Popp (Kathy) of Buckeye, AZ, Peggy Johnsen (Scott) of Sugar Grove, IL and Jake Popp (Jeni) of Yorkville, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel (141 Maple St, Hinckley, IL 60520). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
