He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lynch; his sons, Andrew Staats (Rachael) of Summerville, SC and Alan Staats (Tiffany) of White Hall; his grandchildren, Braedyn, Russell, Allie and David; his siblings, J. D. Staats of White Hall, Larry Staats (Liz) of White Hall and Terry Jones (Keith) of Jacksonville; and his sister-in-law Dee Ann Jepson (Jerry) of Holton, KS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
