We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2024, at the age of 82, Gilberto Jimenez (Hillside, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gilberto leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gilberto may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his father Luis; and his siblings, Juan Jimenez, Luis Jimenez, Lenny Jimenez and Victor Jimenez.
He is survived by: his children, Yvette Jimenez, Luis Jimenez (Brenda), William Jimenez, Ricardo Jimenez, Sandra Barrientos (Philip) and Sam Jimenez (Rosalva). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Notre Dame Parish (1334 W Flournoy St, Chicago, IL 60607). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
