She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Alice and Earl Townsend. She is survived by: her siblings, Earlie Mae Townsend, Stella Louise Townsend, Fred Douglas Townsend (Diane) and Ella Fay Bell; her children, Jerome Hudson Jr., Shawana "Angel" Hyde (Terrence), Edwina Lynn Hudson, Eric Campbell, Craig Sylvester, Kenya Sylvester, John Sylvester and Malcolm Sylvester; and her grandchildren, Isaiah Keyes, Ji'Reh Cecil (Shakara), Breonna Cecil, Amari Cecil, Jocelyn Brownlee-Buie (Leonard), Joshua Brownlee, J'Len Brownlee and Jurnee Cole.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Progressive Life Giving Word Cathedral (4500 Frontage Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
