Ruth Elsas Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Elsas of Hillsboro, Illinois, born in Emden, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nanke Harms and Frances Harms (Rademaker); her husband Robert W. Elsas; and her siblings, Donald Wayne Harms and Mary Lou Myers.

She is survived by: her children, Robert L. Elsas of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Rhonda Ward (Jay) of Hillsboro, IL; her sister Shirley Ann Gemberling (Ellis) of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Robert L. Elsas and Kelly Elsas; and her great grandchild Braden Tregoning. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Wares Grove Lutheran Church or Tremont Ridge Assisted Living.
