She was predeceased by: her parents, Cloide Carruthers and Ima Carruthers; her husband Herschel Dale Stanton; and her son Paul Kent Stanton. She is survived by: her children, Candace I. Moreland (Carroll) of Ramsey, IL, Penny L. Dixon of Hillsboro, IL, Joy A. Al-Nimri (Firas) of Crown Point, IN, Roy Neal Stanton (Dawn) of Parker, CO and Nathan A. Stanton (Karen) of Auburn, AL; her daughter-in-law Terri Stanton of Hillsboro, IL.; and her sister Donna Depew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Nancy's honor to the Baptist Children's Home in Carmi, Illinois, and the Baptist Rehoboth Association's Camp Grounds—both ministries close to her heart.
