He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Keepper and Ruth LaVerne Keepper (Short); his brother Kent Keepper; and his brother-in-law Michael "Mick" Neely. He is survived by: his wife Paula Keepper of Hillsboro, IL; his children, Byran Keepper (Jessica) of Hillsboro, IL and Andrea Durbin (Chuck) of Butler, IL; his grandchildren, Skylar Durbin, Conner Durbin and Sharayah Keepper; and his sister Kay Neely of Hillsboro, IL..
