He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gladys Spears (Brown) and Elbert Spears; his children, Pamela Mehochko (Allen) of Nokomis, Patricia Spears of Virginia, Wesley Spears (Anna) of Hillsboro and Jeffrey Spears (Shelli) of O'Fallon; his grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew, Tina, Jeremy, Brendon, Sally, Jennifer, Miranda, Rebecca and Bri; and his sister Janet Blankenship (Roger) of Nokomis. He was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore.
