Wanda Faye Grotefendt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Faye Grotefendt of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland W. Schmidt and Anna "Ann" L. Schmidt; her granddaughter Haley Severit; and her brother-in-law Merrill "Joe" Ottwein. She is survived by: her husband Darwin Grotefendt; her children, David "Dave" Grotefendt (Denise) of Marine, IL, Lisa Grotefendt (Don Barnhart) of St. Jacob, IL and Kent Grotefendt (Lynn) of Chattanooga, TN; her grandson Josh Severit (Roxanne); her children, Megan Johns (Larrin), Ryan Grotefendt (Olivia Urban), Christopher Grotefendt and Adam Grotefendt; her great grandchild Zelcia Grotefendt; and her siblings, Richard Schmidt (Susan) and Grace Ottwein. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Memorials can be made to the Marine United Church of Christ, Marine, IL.
