It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Moore (Highland, Illinois), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvel Thomas Mellenthin and Jo Anna Mellenthin; her daughters, Carol L. Moore and Martha Ann Moore; and her siblings, Homer Mellenthin, Ralph Mellenthin, George Mellenthin, William Mellenthin, John Mellenthin, Franklin Mellenthin, Rosie Fritz, Katie Fritz, Cassie Robertson, Ruth Caffrey and Gertrude Heeren.

She is survived by: her husband Roy Theodore "Pops" Moore; her son Raymond L. Moore (Donna Jean); her granddaughters, Amanda R. Rosenberg and Lisa Marie Ross (Bryan) of Trenton, IL; and her great grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Ross of Trenton, IL and Reagan Alex Ross of Trenton, IL..

“My wife, Namsuk, and I, Dean Mindock, knew Shirley thru her friend, Harry Lockhart, Harry was a long time friend of ours here in Collinsville and when he moved to the Faith Retirement Center in Highland, we would go there to visit him. Often, he would be visiting Shirley, who lived directly below his apartment. Shirley was always a great host, very well spoken, and she became a friend too. We are so sad that she has left us. May she rest in eternal peace.”
