It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley J. Wheeler of Highland, Illinois, born in Dieterich, Illinois, who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Smith and Iva Jane Smith; her husband Wilbert R. Wheeler; her daughter Susan M. Newton; her siblings, Maxine Hirtzel, Phyllis Edwards and Charles Leroy Smith; her grandson Joshua Neidholdt; and her great grandchild Porter Neidholdt.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Neidholdt (Douglas) of Grain Valley, MO, Twilla Sleeth (Douglas) of Bonaire, GA, Steven Wheeler (Tina) of Highland, IL, Rodney Wheeler (Jeanna) of Troy, IL, Bradley Wheeler (Kerry) of Highland, IL and Deborah Alma Wheeler of Highland, IL; and her grandchildren, Carl Neidholdt, Jesse Neidholdt, Lehi Neidholdt, Rene Lockman, Theresa Jackson, Jason Schwartz, Tonya Arnold, Andrew Sleeth, Ryan Sleeth, Michaela Wheeler, Marissa Wheeler, Zachary Wheeler, Sam Wheeler, Sean Wheeler, Morgan Dickens and Justin Wheeler. She is also survived by seven children.
