She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Litteken and Augusta Litteken; and her granddaughter Justice Rose Knebel. She is survived by: her husband Harry Gates; her sons, Craig Knebel (Michelle Carmichael) of Highland, IL, Brent Knebel (Carrie) of Pocahontas, IL and Chad Knebel (Megan) of Goodyear, AZ; her stepchildren, Janelle Viessman (Paul) of Granite City, IL and Scott Gates (Amanda) of Maryville, IL; her grandchildren, Ansley Thurmond, Gavin Knebel, Jaycee Knebel, Cecilia Knebel and Wyatt Viessman; and her siblings, Richard Litteken (Marge) of Trenton, IL, Carol Lee (Brad) of Edwardsville, IL, Ronald Litteken of Trenton, IL, Lawrence Litteken (Jane) of Trenton, IL and Robert Litteken (Donna) of Trenton, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Meridith Funeral Home (1223 Broadway, Highland, IL 62249). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (325 S Jefferson St, Trenton, IL 62293).
