He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Bohnak and Stephanie Bohnak; his brother James Bohnak; his sister-in-law Margaret Bohnak; his parents-in-law, Anthony J. and Ella Pautler; and his brother-in-law Syl Bax.

He is survived by: his wife Laverne Bohnak; his children, Janet Vogelbacher (Brad), Robert Bohnak (Rusann), Vicki Pace (Douglas) and Julie Clayton (Jon); his grandchildren, Katelyn, Alex, Ryan, Madelyn Vogelbacher, R. J., Riese, Ridge Bohnak, Morgan, Cameron, Alyson Pace, Boston and Britain Clayton; his sister Theresa Kuca (Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Bax, Jeanette Chartrand and James Pautler (Janice). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
