With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Tucker of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Lydia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Lydia's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcos Abreu and Frances Abreu; her husband Paul Tucker; her daughter Gloria Tucker; and her children-in-law, Richard Alexander and Pam Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Epps (John) of Glen Carbon, IL, Carmen Alexander of Waunakee, WI, Paul Tucker (Julie) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Mark Tucker of Lafayette, IN; and her grandchildren, Daniel Epps (Heather) of Troy, IL, Jacob Epps of Edwardsville, IL and Wendy Donley (Joe) of Noble, MO. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Meridith Funeral Home (1223 Broadway, Highland, IL 62249).
