He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Hartlieb and Louise Hartlieb; his brother Maurice Hartlieb; his sister-in-law Glenn Hartlieb (Nadine); and his sisters, Agnes Knebel (Raymond) and Marie Reker (Harold).

He is survived by: his wife Norma Hartlieb of Jamestown, IL; his sons, Kenneth E. Hartlieb Jr. of Mulberry Grove, IL, Dennis Hartlieb (Annette) of Vandalia, IL and Chad Hartlieb (Lacy) of Jamestown, IL; his grandchildren, Alexi, Bryce, Mason, Brody and Dylan Hartlieb; and his sister-in-law Irma Hartlieb. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
