June R. Neier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of June R. Neier of Highland, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin John and Winifred Grace Tamplin; her siblings, Sylvia Webb, Margaret Felton, Shirley Thurston, David Tamplin, Roger Tamplin (Heather) and Wendy Munn; her in-laws, Joan Browning (Thomas), Stanley Tamplin (Patricia), Edna Schramek, Arthur Tamplin (Pauline), John Tamplin and Peter Tamplin; and her brothers-in-law, Geoff Webb, Geoff Felton and Terry Thurston.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Reinhart Neier (S. Air Force); her daughters, Susan Frey, Sandy FitzGibbon (Arthur) and Sharon Hartmann; her grandchildren, Kristina Maxfield (JR), Kathryn Stiegemeier (Billy), Meredith Hamilton (Miles), Jennifer FitzGibbon (Max McKaig), Melissa Hartmann and Matthew Hartmann; and her great grandchildren, Eliza, Maverick Maxfield, Aiden and Blair Stiegemeier.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evangelical United Church of Christ (2520 Poplar St, Highland, IL 62249). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, Illinois or a charity of your choice in June's memory.
