He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hilmes and Lenas Hilmes. He is survived by: his girlfriend Hannah Norman of Highland; his former wife Terri Hilmes of Highland; his siblings, Connie Weis (Steve "Hippie" Dothager) of Greenville, John Hilmes of Pierron and Jerry "Tater" Hilmes of Carpenter; his nieces and nephews, Rodney Weis (Lisa Kittel), Carla Ratermann (Michael) and Ashely Weis; and his aunts and uncles, Arlene Hilmes, Imogene Roy, Ernest Shinault and Ron Shinault (Sue).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Illinois Motorheads Clubhouse (12905 IL-140, New Douglas, IL 62074).
Memorials may be made to Illinois Motorheads Club and will be received by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
