He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Thompson and Wilda Thompson; his son David K. Thompson; and his brother Gerry Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Thompson of Highland, IL; his daughter Missy Gorniak (Brian) of Glen Carbon, IL; his granddaughters, Jaclyn, Meghan, Lexi and Shelby; and his sister Betty McConnell of Bloomfield, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
