With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald D. Suhre (Highland, Illinois), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Suhre and Nora Suhre; his grandson Ryan Leonard Suhre; and his brother-in-law Robert Hosto. He is survived by: his wife Gatha Suhre; his son Leonard Suhre (Donna) of Alhambra, IL; his grandchildren, Chris Suhre, MD (Marlo Morrow) and Nicole Dick (John); his great grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, Samantha, Jillian Suhre, Jacob and Evelyn Dick; and his siblings, Ruth Hosto of Alhambra, IL, Robert Suhre (June) and Raymond Suhre (Susan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
