He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Albert and Mable Aleta Scheller (Randle); his parents-in-law, Edward Viehweg and Aileen Viehweg; his brother Gale Scheller; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Scheller, Joan Scheller and Dennis Viehweg.

He is survived by: his nephew Randy; his brothers-in-law, Harold and Allen; his friend Tom; his wife Pat; his daughters, Susan Pollard (Charles) of Highland, IL and Dara Scheller-Houska (Paul); his grandchildren, Nataleigh and Noah Scheller-Houska of St. Louis, MO.; his sister Colene France (Harold) of Tulsa, OK.; and his brother-in-law Mark Viehweg (Karen) of Litchfield, IL.
