She was predeceased by: her father Benjamin Rudolph; her former husbands, Robert Lopez and Ed Byars; her husband Bobbie DePew; her son Greg Byars; her mother Mary Mitchell; her sisters, Darleen Phillips and Diana Tremor; and her aunt Melva Meyer.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Lopez (Arlene) of Antioch, IL, Darla Smilek (Sean) of Highland, IL and Mitzi Zurliene (Gary) of Greenville, IL; her grandchildren, Robby Lopez (Chrissie), Jeremy Lopez (Steph Pozos), Dalton Smilek, Amber Markus (Adam), Ashley Zurliene (Tony Heimsath) and Wendy Gustin (Brett); her great grandchildren, Bodhi Lopez, Draco Lopez, Sophie Markus, Sadie Markus, Owen Markus, Hazel Gustin and Ella Gustin; and her brother Donald Mitchell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland City Cemetery (12301 Koepfli Ln, Highland, IL 62249).
Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Highland VFW Post 5964.
