It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Nihiser (Highland, Illinois), born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Nihiser Oberdalhoff and Lewis Nihiser Jr.; his parents-in-law, RayDeen H. Tensmeyer and Pauline A. Tensmeyer; his stepfather Melvin Oberdalhoff; and his siblings-in-law, Karen J. Nihiser and Fred Schneider.
He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Jean Tensmeyer; his wife Marilyn J. Nihiser of Highland; his sons, Todd E. and Terry R. Nihiser; his siblings, Jack R. Nihiser of Alhambra, Patricia J. Riegel and Jan N. Schneider of Highland; and his sister-in-law Shirley Martin of Shattuc. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church, to the family for a bench at Veterans Honor Parkway, to research PSP or donors choice.
