He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest J. "Abie" Buchmiller and Irene E. Buchmiller; his sister Janette A. Hess; and his brother-in-law Louis W. Hess. He is survived by: his niece Karla A. Smith (Ronald); his nephew Kurt W. Hess; his great-nephew Jason K. Smith; and his pet Lucy.
