She was predeceased by: her brother Darrin Rust; and her father Steve Pohlman. She is survived by: her husband Dennis C. Scherschel; her daughter-in-law Kira Scherschel of Chatham, Illinois; her daughter Ashley; her son-in-law Chris Noeth of Maryville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jonah Scherschel, Josie Scherschel and Henry Noeth; her sister Delinda; her brother-in-law Larry Bowling of Bloomington, Indiana; and also, Jarret and Jacob Sisson. She is also survived by many nieces; nephews; cousins; other extended family and many friends.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
