He was loved and cherished by many people including: his stepson Derek Mitchell; his father Donald Hecker of New Baden, IL; his siblings, Donna Hecker of St. Louis Park, MN. and Kevin Hecker (Beth) of Springfield, IL; his nephew Collin Hecker; his nieces, Caitlin Hecker of Springfield, IL and Keeley Hecker of Springfield, IL; his mother Marie Hecker; and his brother Michael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
