He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence "Yank", Flossie, Dean and Shirley; and his uncles, Steve Newkirk and Eric Newkirk.

He is survived by: his father Kevin; his fiancée Jennifer Mioux; his siblings, Megan Newkirk (Scott Droege) of Aviston and Carson Newkirk (Nate Loepker) of Bartelso; his aunts and uncles, Terry "Snick" Rickhoff (Connie) of Bartelso, Janet Wuebbels (Dave) of Albers, Mark Rickhoff (Kris) of Bartelso, Lisa Thole (Dean) of Bartelso, Jennifer Jansen (Steve) of Bartelso, Gina Reeves (Danny) of Bartelso, Debbie Day of Florida and Bob Newkirk (Terri) of Carlyle; and also, Joe, Michael Mioux of Atlanta, GA, Nick Mioux (Kaitlin) of Shiloh and Christina Mioux of Carlyle. He is also survived by his parents, he is survived by the love of his life.

In lieu of flowers, plants and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Central Community High School Football Program and will be received at the funeral home.
