He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Athmer and Thelma J. "Timmy" Athmer; his parents-in-law, LaRue "Larry" Neudecker and Martha Neudecker; his brothers-in-law, Randall Elliott and Wayne Mollet; his niece Danielle Braun; his nephew Ian Elliott; and his great-nephew Shaun Wilken, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Melissa G. "Missy" Athmer of Highland, IL; his siblings, Connie Frankovich of O'Fallon, IL, Sandy Renspurger (Mike) of Highland, IL, Peggy Elliott of Highland, IL, Daniel Athmer (Deborah Kay) of Aviston, IL, Joni Wilken (Pete) of Aviston, IL and Susie Dulle of Highland, IL; and also, Many and Many.
Memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Illinois or Madison County Humane Society (Highland) - and will be received at the funeral home.
