It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie D. Abert (Highland, Illinois), born in Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Louer and Herman Louer of Highland, IL.. She is survived by: her husband Jim Abert; her children, Megan Keuss (Chris), Aaron Abert (Becky) of Spring Lake, MI and Morgan Peters (Adam); her grandchildren, Alex Keuss of St. Louis, MO, Charlotte Keuss of St. Louis, MO and Matthew Keuss of St. Louis, MO; her brother Craig; her sister-in-law Jane Louer of Edwardsville, IL; her uncle Raymond Rippelmeyer; and her aunt Doris Rippelmeyer (Robert) of Waterloo, IL. She is also survived by nephews and cousins.
In honor and recognition of Connie's involvement and contributions to the community, the Connie Abert Amphitheater in the Waupaca Eco-Park, is named in her honor.
