He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennie Gerson, (Jacobson) and Charlie Gerson, Sr.; his grandson Bob Dibbler; his sister-in-law Cyrena Gerson; his niece Gwen Herkert; and his nephew Billy Gerson.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona; his children, Rick Gerson (Linda) of Springfield, Ron Gerson (Rebeca) of Lake Elsinore, Chris Gerson (Joliene) of East Peoria, Nathan Gerson (Alesha) of Leroy, Ohio and Shelly Sievers (Jason) of St. Jacob; his grandchildren, Justin Dibbler (June), Kenzie, Kaden Sievers, Audrey and Ava Gerson; his great grandchildren, Carter and Harrison Dibbler; and his brothers, Paul Gerson of O'Fallon, Dave Gerson (Debbie) of Hamburg and Bob Gerson (Patty) of Batchtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
