It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Metzger of Highland, Illinois, born in Pocahontas, Illinois, who passed away on January 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emmett Geries and Edna Geries; her husband Elmer Metzger; her children, Tammy Lynn Holdeman (David) of Highland, IL and Rickey E. Metzger; her grandson Tyler Alan Holdeman of Highland, IL; her sisters, Elsie M. Nungesser and Sara Jane "Sadie" Wiesemeyer of Highland, IL; and her sister-in-law Selma M. Warnecke.
