He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Knight and Bessie Knight; and his stepmother Meta Knight. He is survived by: his wife Linda Knight (Hooten) of Highland, IL; his daughters, Brenda Hornbostel (Eric) of Collierville, TN and Tami Guithues (Robert); his grandchildren, Robert, Abbigail Guithues and William Hornbostel; and his siblings, Troy Knight (Katherine), Gene Knight (Nancy), Julia Bierlein (Scott), Ken Eastwood (Eva) and James Eastwood (Tina). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
